We understand the frustration of not being able to download a resource you need – we’ve been there too. There are two ways of downloading resources from Teach It Forward:

  1. The quickest way is to click the download link on the checkout page.
  2. You will also receive a download link in your email confirmation.

If neither of these work, please check the internet browser you are using is up to date.

Failing that, email details of your issue to us at ed@teachitforward.co.uk. Please ensure you include the title of the resource so we can sort it out as soon as possible.

There are a number of reasons a resource file might not open:

Your download hasn’t completed:

The amount of time it takes for a resource to download depends on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection. Some of our resource files are quite large, so please be patient. We hope it’s worth the wait!

Your computer doesn’t have the correct software installed:

You need to ensure that your computer has the correct software for the file you are attempting to open. Most Teach It Forward resources are in one of two formats, either Microsoft Word (docx) or Microsoft PowerPoint (pptx).

Before contacting us, please check your computer software is functioning correctly and up-to-date. If in doubt, try opening other similar files. For example, you could try to open our Continent matching activity which is free to download in both file formats.

Error messages:

If you are having trouble opening a file, you might receive one of the following error messages:

  • PowerPoint found a problem with content in…
  • Sorry, PowerPoint can’t read…

The first potential solution is to try moving your files from your Downloads folder to another area on your hard drive (e.g. My Documents). In the majority of cases this will solve the issue.

If the above fix doesn’t work, please email details of your issue to ed@teachitforward.co.uk. Please include the title of the resource so we can sort out your issue asap.

We are always grateful when customers bring genuine issues to our attention. Therefore, we will gladly offer you a choice of a free resource as compensation for your time and any inconvenience.
